Tap Extensions

Tap extensions are available from Allen Benjamin for:

• ANSI standard taps
• Coolant-through taps
• DIN metric standard taps

ANSI standard tap features include:

• Hand tap extensions 5" & 9" length; 6" available for taps larger than ½"
• Made from tool steel.
• Internal square drive for positive tap drive.
• Compression cap for easy tightening. No wrench required.
• A very effective tool at low cost.
• The slim profile lets you fit into places not accessible to conventional tap extensions.
• Eliminates the need for purchasing expensive extended length taps.
• Integral compression collet eliminates the need for bulky collet nuts.

Coolant-through ANSI standard taps offer the same features as regular ANSI standard taps with the added benefit of offering the ability to direct coolant to the cutting edge.

Metric DIN standard taps offer the same features as the above with all popular DIN metric sizes. Metric tap extensions are 127mm (5") and 228.6mm (9") in length.
