These are high performance, proprietary carbide taps designed by Allen Benjamin engineers. The "PRX" tap was initially designed to thread high hardness material such as inconel and stellite, and is suitable for other materials with a high hardness on the Rockwell C scale such as pure tungsten and cast aluminum. The "PRC" tap was designed to tap titanium parts, as well as beryllium and related materials in aerospace and medical applications.
